Polyethylene polyester is often called polyethylene terephthalate (PET). In the polyester market, this type of polyester is the most common type of polyester. Ethylene polyester is made from petroleum raw materials.

Polyethylene (PET):

Polyethylene polyester is often called polyethylene terephthalate (PET). In the polyester market, this type of polyester is the most common type of polyester. Ethylene polyester is made from petroleum raw materials.

Polyester (PCDT):

Polyester BCDT is much less popular compared to polyester ethylene (PET). But due to its flexible nature, it has many uses for many purposes. The production process of PET polyester is similar to BCDT polyester. The only difference is in the chemical composition of both types of these polyesters. BCDT polyester is more durable, so it is used in though conditions such as furniture covers, curtains, car seat covers, etc.

Plant-Based Polyester:

Plant origin polyester is also made from ethylene glycol and dimethyl terephthalate. The main difference between plant polyester and other types of polyesters is that petroleum is used for other polyesters, but renewable resources such as sugarcane etc. are used for plant based polyester. In addition to this point, plant based polyester is naturally biodegradable, however, this kind of polyester is more expensive compared to other polyesters and has less strength; the reason is due to high biodegradability of this type of polyester.

It should be noted that a plant-based polyester called polyethylene furanoate (PEF) is being developed by the Dutch company” Avantium” in cooperation with Coca-Cola.

Polyester synthetic fiber:

One of the most important types of synthetic fiber is polyester synthetic fiber, which are widely used in various aspects of human life. This type of synthetic fiber has many manufacturers around the world. Diba Fiber Arian Company is one of the leading producers of polyester staple fiber in Iran. Diba Fiber Arian produce hollow fiber and solid (regular) fiber in both recycled and virgin types.

Synthetic polyester fiber is generally divided into two categories:

1-Hollow fiber

2-Solid fiber

Synthetic polyester fiber

Hollow fiber:

Hollow fiber is a group of synthetic fiber that have a high reversibility, and this feature has made hollow fiber widely used in filling industries such as furniture, mattresses, quilts, pillows, etc.

Also, due to its hollow nature, has high reversibility (crimp spring) compared to other fiber such as solid synthetic fiber.

This kind of fiber is used widely in seat pads, duvet and sofa cushions. It’s a good choice because it is resistant to mold and dust mites; besides, it serves lofty comfort, and can be simply washed and dried at your home. Hollow fiber produced by Diba Fiber Arian Company is supplied in different deniers (from 7D to 20D) and cuts (from 32mm to 125mm).

Advantages of Hollow fiber:

The use of Hallow fiber has many advantages. Here are some of these benefits:

Affordable

Hollow fibers are very affordable and compared to the price; it is a suitable raw material to replace with natural fiber such as cotton and wool.

Durability

Hollow fibers do not need special care because they can usually be washed in the washing machine and is dried easily.

Weight

This type of fiber is a lightweight material that can be easily transported and packed. Hollow fiber produced by Diba Fiber Arian Company are supplied in 250 kg bales.

Synthetic polyester fiber

Solid fiber:

Solid fibers are short fibers that are produced in the form of solids with multiple cut lengths and thicknesses (different deniers) and are widely used in various industries such as non-woven textiles. Solid fibers are bulky and have high density.

Synthetic fibers produced with fineness of more than 2 denier in different cutting lengths in the range of (25-124) mm is included in this category. Solid fibers are sold in self-colored and colored form and are used in many industries such as carpets and rugs, blankets, filters, waterproofing, insulation, winterizers, wadding or felts, lining and flooring and similar industries.

Advantages of solid fiber:

Solid fibers have the same advantages as hollow fibers; Both are composed of the same type of raw material (polyethylene terephthalate), they have inherited each other’s properties and depending on the type of your industry, they can be useful for you.

At Diba Fiber Arian Company, we produce and supply all kinds of synthetic fibers, including solid fibers, micro fibers and hollow fibers with high quality. Both types of hollow and solid fibers in Diba Fiber, are made from virgin (Textile Grade PET Granules also called PET Chips) and recycled raw materials; PET flakes.
